Attitude at work-place

Today in all "Career counseling sessions",it is advised to students to select career, they liked the most. However still I always find most of the people, discussing negatively about the nature of job they are assigned by the management. Why?

It is very important for an employee to have an attitude for aptitude. If the job is not interesting, make it interesting rather than loosing attention at the place of work.
For an employee,he or she should make all efforts to develop an aptitude for the work.and one should have an attitude to do so.

If you select the career of your own choice or of your own interest, you may feel better initially for one or two years of your service.Later on due to many reasons,Job becomes boring, due to following reasons -

Why an employee looses interest at the work place? -
  • Organisation's negative culture.
  • Too much of paper work.
  • Lengthy procedures.
  • Too much interference from seniors.
  •  Personal problems.
  • Too much of expectations from the Management.
  • Lazy and irresponsible attitude.
  • Involvement in other activities.
  • lack of Management's  interest in staff welfare.

Moreover Employees do not consider change for their betterment rather feel irritating and avoid learning new system or software. Therefore instead of getting frustrated or loosing cadence at work place, one should practice for developing an approach for mounting an aptitude towards the Job in the same environment by analyzing weaknesses. One has to overlook management's flaws.
(Although it is a Management responsibility also to ensure good, positive environment by providing continuous staff training and welfare support to all Employees.I will write on this issue in my coming Blogs)

How to develop an attitude for aptitude ?-

Most of the points are already covered in my Blog "Positive attitude".I request all my readers to go through that article off and on to sharpen your Mental power. However following suggestions may help an Employee to reset mind intellectually and not emotionally -
  • An Employee can not modify or transform Organisational culture, the way he or she desires. Therefore better to have an attitude of transforming ourselves.
  • First step required is to do self analysis, honestly. One has to wash one's brain to get accurate reason for not performing up to the expectations.
  • To get involved in exercising for smoothening and simplifying systems & procedures(with seniors and colleagues),will also support in improvising aptitude. This will also be considered as an improvement activity by  the Organisation.
  • Evade showing undue curiosity in non-social or illegal movement because every Employee remains under deep observation by Senior staff Members and any involvement in unlawful or banned activity will bring down the career graph  to zero.
  • In case of any dissatisfaction or discomfort due to any reason, Employee should deal with issues politely in a discreet manner  with management authorities, instead of loosing attention at work-place.
  • Cooperative and supportive behavior with colleagues, obedient and courteous  behavior with seniors, and other positive traits will always contribute in  your Progress.
