Improve your personality with Positive attitude

“WITH POSITIVE ATTITUDE, YOU BECOME A PERSON THAT BRIGHTENS THE ROOM SIMPLY BY ENTERING IT”
An attitude is defined as “The way a person feels, thinks and behaves, towards a particular issue.”
Attitude helps in particular situations within the frame of mind. For example — a glass half filled with water may be explained as “A glass is half filled” or “A glass is half empty”.  With this simple example we can understand that a person having positive attitude will always point out as “A glass is half filled”.
Positive attitude, self belief and the determination are key factors for success.
+VE Attitude —> +VE Thinking —> + VE Action / Reaction / Efforts —> +VE Result.
With the positive attitude a person can get following advantages
·      You become humble, polite, caring & confident.
·      Positive attitude enhances Productivity & Team work.
·      It reduces stress and develops patience.
·      It develops trust among team members.
·      It develops good character, integrity and values.
·      A person with positive attitude doesn’t see setbacks as stumbling blocks, rather he / she sees setbacks as stepping stones.
Disadvantages of behaving with negative attitude are—
·      It increases animosity.
·      It develops sickness (Ill health)
·      It increases bitterness in relationship & resentment.
·      Negative person not only spoils himself but the entire environment.
·      Negative thinkers are basically fault finders. They always see negative side of the story.
POSITIVE THINKERS ARE WINNERS WHILE NEGATIVE THINKERS ARE LOOSERS.
HOW TO DEVELOP POSITIVE ATTITUDE?
·         For developing positive attitude we should always see the plus side of any issue or matter or person instead of looking at negative side. Therefore avoid criticizing and try to praise as maximum as possible.
Example - Looking for gold-For an ounce of gold, we have to dig tons of dirt. Therefore dealing with people, is like digging for gold. When you are digging don’t look for the dirt but look for gold.
·         There is something positive in every person and situation. We are so used to looking for what is wrong with other people and situation, we forget to see what is right.”
·         While behaving try to be humble and polite and try to handle critical situations tactfully.
·         Avoid anger because we must realize that anger is powerfully weapon which should be discharged rarely.
·         Avoid procrastination. Procrastination means “Reluctance to act NOW” OR we continue avoiding work, which we don’t want to do. Rather any unpleasant work if required to do should be attended first. With this practice we become more comfortable and lighter in our state of mind. Avoid lam excuses.
As Benjamin Franklin says - “Never leave till tomorrow, which you can do today” –

·         Try to be honest and responsible.
·         Try to be happy in all circumstances and movements because happiness gives us confidence and courage.
·         Try to use common sense as it is the ability to see things as they are and do than as ought to be done. We are born with 5 senses - Touch, Taste, Sight, Smell and Hearing. While common sense can be gained with or without education.
·         Improve your knowledge power. It gives you confidence to discuss and argue among people. Knowledge is potential power and it becomes power only when it is acted upon. There is a very little difference between person who cannot read and a person who can, but does not read.
Positive thinkers are winners who recognize their limitation, but focus on their strengths. Losers recognize their strengths, but focus on weaknesses.

FACTORS WHICH HELP IN FORMING OUR “ATTITUDE”
       v    Environment around us
       v    Our family culture
v    Our educational culture & environment in school/college.
       v    Our social culture
       v    Our state culture
       v    Our country culture
       v    Political and religious culture
v    Entertainment facilities available and how we use them.
(Means in a negative inhuman, barbaric (uncivilized) non-cooperative environment it is difficult to develop or change attitude as positive attitude.
Winning Edge:
v   Winning horse in the race wins 5 to 1 or 10 to 1. He is not 5 or 10 times faster than other horses. He may win by a fraction or by a nose. But rewards are five to ten times greater.
v   Same way, successful people are not Ten times smarter than people who fail. They might be better by a nose, but rewards are ten times greater.
v   We don’t need to improve 1000% in any one area. We need to improve just 1% in 1000 different areas, which is a lot easier. That’s the “WINNING EDGE”
There is a saying —
I prayed for all things that I might enjoy life.
God gave me life that I might enjoy all things.
THEREFORE BE POSITIVE & ENJOY ALL THINGS
Best of luck – Ashutosh .
